I am a PHP / Web developer currently working as senior developer for Guerilla Communications, a full service digital agency in Newcastle upon Tyne. I have good freelance/corporate and agency experience and have held positions in the industry for the last 5 years working on a high volume of content managed extranet & public facing projects.

My level of involvement in the project development processes starts at tender, supplying any technical advice and documentation, through to testing/optimisation, launch and training. I have experience in developing a wide variety of web applications ranging from Static, CMS and e-commerce systems to Banner advertisements, Viral marketing and Digital signage solutions. Software development has made up a high percentage my later education having completed degree level modules programming in Microsoft Coldfusion, HTML, CSS, SQL and an in depth PHP development. I have a good understanding of web standards and accessibility, producing valid semantic (X)HTML to a minimum of AA W3C compliance. I also handle the management and procurement of server hardware/ software as required for clients, along with internal hardware used for project management & version control.
Previous to my current role, I have worked on online ordering/management systems with employee and warehouse stock management solutions written in PHP, Java Script and ASP. Software was written to integrate with MSSQL and off the shelf Contact Management / Business intelligence / Sales Forecasting systems. I have also worked on projects using PROTX/Sage Pay Payment Solutions and the ARIBA networks CXML systems. I have some knowledge of ASP, ColdFusion and Other languages and have been in several situations where I have had to use technologies I am unfamiliar with, always with positive results. I also have a background in Traditional Media and applications including AVID, Pro Tools, Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Illustrator and Quark.
